Introduction
Allevio® nerve block catheter is designed to assist patients suffering from migraines, Horton's disease, and trigeminal neuralgia when conventional treatments are insufficient. Developed in the USA, it is already in use in hospitals for patients who have not fully benefited from standard treatments.

Product Description
The Allevio® nerve block catheter comprises two plastic catheters, one inserted into the other. During use, the internal catheter bends automatically to reach the back of the nose, targeting the Sphenopalatina (SPG) ganglion. A 4% local anesthesia is administered through the catheter. The device is CE approved and user-friendly.

Treatment Procedure
1. The patient lies down on a gurney or bed.
2. Insert the catheter into one nostril until it stops.
3. Retract the catheter by 5 mm.
4. Advance the inner catheter to position it correctly.
5. Inject 2 ml of local anesthesia.
6. Remove the catheter.
7. Repeat in the other nostril.
8. The patient should remain supine for approximately 10 minutes.

Treatment Frequency
Initial treatment is recommended twice a week for three weeks. Post this period, the frequency is adjusted based on patient response. Some patients experience immediate relief, while others may take longer.

This is how to perform the treatment on a patient 1. The patient lies down on a gurney or a bed. 2. Insert the Allevio® nerve block catheter in one nostril until it stops. 3. Pull back the catheter 5 mm (a half mark, marked on the catheter). 4. Push in the inner catheter which will automatically end up in the cavity. 5. Inject 2 ml local anesthesia through the catheter. 7. Repeat the procedure in the other nostril. 8. The patient should remain in a supine position for approximately 10 minutes.
