WIRE MYOGRAPH SYSTEMS

WIRE MYOGRAPH SYSTEMS

Product catalog summary
Overview: The Wire Myograph Systems are specialized instruments used in various research fields such as vascular, airway, intestine, urinary, and more. They allow for the examination of small vessels (30 µm - 10 mm) in terms of morphology and responsiveness to hormones and other agonists. The system maintains vessels in a physiological salt solution at 37°C, enabling viability for several hours.
General Functionality: Vessels are mounted on wires and secured to supports, with one attached to a micrometer for circumference control and the other to a force transducer for tension measurement. Experiments are conducted under isometric conditions, allowing for the addition of compounds directly to the chamber to monitor vessel tension.
Research Applications: The system is used for basic tissue studies, examining vascular smooth muscle and endothelium function, length-tension relationships, and pharmacological reactivity. It is applicable to various tissues including arteries, veins, lung, tracheal, and urogenital tissues. The system also explores vasoactive mechanisms, pharmacology, and physiological changes related to diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, and heart disease.
Product Variants:
  • Dual Wire Myograph Systems - 420A & 520A: Designed for simultaneous testing of two vessels with manual or automatic tension control.
  • Single Wire Myograph System - 320A: Ideal for single chamber measurements, compatible with microelectrodes for membrane potential measurements.
  • Multi Wire Myograph System - 620M: A 4-channel system for studying multiple vessels or tissue rings simultaneously, with built-in heating and rapid buffer removal.
  • Automated Multi Wire Myograph System - 630MA: Features automatic normalization procedures for standardized experimental conditions.
Accessories:
  • Stimulator CS4/CS8: Provides advanced electrical stimulation features for electrophysiological experiments, controlled by MyoPULSE software.
  • Automatic Buffer Filler System - 625FS: Allows for easy filling of chambers with buffer, offering customizable volume settings.
  • Confocal Wire Myograph - 360CW: Designed for high-resolution imaging of fluorescent dyes or markers using laser scanning confocal microscopy.

WIRE MYOGRAPH SYSTEMS-2

The Wire Myograph allows examination of small vessels (internal diameter 30 pm - 10 mm) in terms of morphology and responsiveness to hormones and other agonists. The small vessels are mounted as ring preparations by threading them onto two stainless steel or tungsten wires and securing the wires to two supports. One support is then attached to a micrometer, allowing control of vessel circumference. The other support is attached to a force transducer for measurement of tension development. The whole preparation is kept in a chamber with physiological salt solution at 37°C, bubbled with oxygen....
