IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT UNDERGARMENTS General Information Cleanroom undergarments should be manufactured - in comparison to everyday clothing (jeans, T-shirt etc.) - from materials that are abrasion resistant. This prevents large numbers of particles shedding from the garments and then entering the room by diffusion or migration or due to the pump effect (overpressure). The efficiency of cleanroom undergarments has been proved with various tests, among other in the textile research institute ITV-Denkendorf. In addition, the high wearing comfort of the complete cleanroom garment system is much improved and along with it the willingness of cleanroom workers to wear it. 3.3 3.3 DASTEX HIGH-TECH® AND COTTON BY COMPARISON The convincing advantage of dastex High-Tech® dastex High-Tech® undergarments are a special knitted fabric comparable to modern sportswear. While cotton only absorbs up sweat, dastex High-Tech® is moisture vapour permeable and thus allows the sweat that emerges on the body's surface to escape to the outside of the garment. Here the moisture can evaporate, the coldness from the evaporation can not be felt on the skin. Also the pores of the fabric remain permanently open and ensure continuous ventilation and a permanent temperature balance....
