Why Polycarbonate? Polycarbonate is the same material used in police riot shields, bullet resistant screens and protective eyewear, while polyethylene is most commonly found in plastic bags, film wraps and drinks bottles. Polycarbonate is also a fully recyclable material as opposed to other, less premium polymers. It has much higher resistance to UV degradation and minimal environmental impact due to lower re-conditioning costs and lack of toxic fumes during combustion.
