Design-Aire SL-RSR-EC The Design-Aire SL-RSR-EC is a combination of our Room Side Replaceable model and Electronically Commutated model. This unit is the star of both convenience and efficiency. Room Side Replaceable filters are most desirable for clean rooms where there is limited or no ceiling access after installation. In addition to easy filter replacement, the Design-Aire SL-RSR-EC also allows access to the electrical components of the unit from within the clean room for easy servicing. The EC motors use less energy and create less heat when they are set to run at lower speeds, in contrast to the AC motors that run at maximum energy output regardless of the speed setting. Key Features Room Side Replacement No need to remove these units from the ceiling for servicing or filter changes. Easy Installation The 12.5” height and light-weight housing of these units make them easier to slide into ceilings. The 3prong electrical cord allows them to be plugged into standard 230V outlets. HEPA Duration The variable speed control helps increase HEPA filter life by allowing the motor speed to be increased as the loading on the filter increases. Energy Efficient Each unit only uses a maximum of 1.0 amps. Convenient Connections A 230V duplex electrical outlet located in the filter housing allows up to 10 units to be connected to and run from one 15 amp circuit. (Not available on export models.)
