Amounts of Category A Materials Permitted in Intelsius UN Certified Packaging -1

Intelsius’ Category A packaging systems are tested with glass primary receptacles. These systems carry an additional letter “U” within the packaging designation (4GU) indicating a special packaging conforming to the requirements of 6.5.4.1.6 of IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR), Edition 65. Section 6.5.4.1.6 of IATA DGR states: “Primary receptacles of any type may be assembled within a secondary packaging and transported without testing in the rigid outer packaging...” Section (b) of 6.5.4.1.6 of IATA DGR states: "... the total combined gross weight of primary receptacles must not exceed one half the gross weight of primary receptacles used for the drop test..."
