The insulation of BioTherm and PharmaTherm products comprise of moulded lid and base components manufactured from Expanded Polystyrene (EPS). The male and female closure features within the insulation are sized such that the components are not hermetically sealed and allow for the safe venting of carbon dioxide vapours, where dry ice is used as a coolant, to avoid build-up of pressure within the packaging to meet the requirements of IATA DGR, Packing Instruction 954.
