Overview
The AGE Reader is a non-invasive device designed to predict cardiovascular risk by measuring Advanced Glycation Endproducts (AGEs) in patients. It provides results in 12 seconds and is validated for clinical use worldwide.

Specifications
The AGE Reader uses fluorescence techniques to measure AGEs, which are linked to chronic complications and cardiovascular diseases. It offers a quick, reliable, and non-invasive method for assessing cardiovascular risk.

Clinical Use
Clinicians have used the AGE Reader for over a decade to identify patients at increased cardiovascular risk, aiding in treatment decisions. It has been validated in numerous studies, showing its effectiveness in predicting diabetes complications and cardiovascular events.

Clinical Validation
  • Reflects vascular damage in diabetes patients.
  • Identifies diabetic patients at risk of complications.
  • Predicts risk of diabetes and metabolic syndrome.
  • Strong predictor of cardiovascular events in peripheral artery disease.

Measurement Results
Results are categorized into risk groups based on AGE levels, with recommendations for further assessment and treatment. The device is used in over 1000 clinics and supported by over 200 peer-reviewed studies.

Patient Reports
Reports provide an overview of cardiovascular risk factors, with graphical displays to help explain results to patients. The AGE Reader App allows for easy documentation and sharing of results.

About AGEs (Advanced Glycation Endproducts) AGEs are the result of a chain of chemical reactions (the Maillard reaction) after an initial glycation. AGEs normally accumulate slowly over a person’s lifetime in tissues with slow turnover. But this process occurs more rapidly in patients with conditions such as diabetes mellitus, renal failure and cardiovascular disease. AGEs also accumulate rapidly under circumstances of oxidative stress. These accumulated AGEs play a key role in the development of diabetes and its complications. The level of AGEs in tissue reflects the glycometabolic memory and...
