Specifications:
The analyzer is designed for use with various animal samples including feline, canine, bovine, equine, swine, and ovine. It can process whole blood, serum, plasma, urine, or dialysate samples with a minimum size of 95 µl. The detection ranges for different ions are specified, such as Na+ (40-200 mmol/L in blood) and K+ (1.7-15 mmol/L in dialysate). Display resolution varies by ion, with Na+ and Cl- having resolutions of 1 mmol/L or 0.1 mmol/L, and Ca++ and Li+ having finer resolutions of 0.01 mmol/L or 0.001 mmol/L.
Performance:
The analysis time is 60 seconds without printout and 75 seconds with printout. The device can store up to 1000 patient results and 500 quality control results for each of three levels. Calibration is performed every four hours and after each measurement. Reproducibility is high, with coefficients of variation (CV) and standard deviations (SD) specified for different ions and sample types.
User Interface and Output:
The device features a keypad, optional external keyboard, and barcode scanner for input. Output is provided via a graphic backlit display, a 16-column printer, and RS232 LIS serial communication.
Environmental and Power Requirements:
The analyzer operates in ambient conditions of 15-32°C and less than 85% humidity. It supports multiple languages and requires a power supply of 100-240V, 50/60 Hz.
Physical Characteristics:
The device measures 13.2 x 12.4 x 12 inches and weighs 14 lbs. It is manufactured by Diamond Diagnostics Inc., with no affiliation to Roche Diagnostics or Idexx Laboratories.
