Product catalog summary

Overview: This document provides information on the Prealbumin FS, an immunoturbidimetric test for measuring prealbumin levels in serum and plasma. It highlights the test's sensitivity, specificity, and convenience.

Specifications: The Prealbumin FS test offers a wide measurement range up to 1.5 g/L and high antigen excess security up to 2.6 g/L. It is traceable to Certified Reference Material CRM 470, ensuring accuracy and reliability. The reagent is liquid-stable and ready-to-use, with on-board stability up to 12 weeks and calibration stability up to 6 weeks.

Clinical Use: The test is suitable for both manual and automated use, compatible with various instruments such as DiaSys respons®, Hitachi 911 and 917, BioMajesty® JCA-BM 6010/C, Olympus AU, and ADVIA systems. It is used for assessing protein malnutrition and liver dysfunction due to its short half-life of 1 to 2 days.

Product Offerings: DiaSys offers different reagent kits and calibrator sets, including TruCal Protein and TruLab Protein, with various levels for normal and elevated controls.

Method Comparison: The document includes method comparison data, showing good correlation with other methods. The Passing/Bablock regression analysis indicates high correlation coefficients (r = 0.990 and r = 0.994) with competitors' methods.

Prealbumin FS-2

Clinical use Prealbumin or transthyretin is a protein synthesized mainly by the liver with a molecular mass of 55 kDa. has an abundance of the amino acid tryptophane and one of the highest ratios of essential-to-nonessential amino acids of any protein in the body making it a distinct marker for protein synthesis. Due to its short halflife of 1 to 2 days, measurement of the serum level may provide a more timely and sensitive assessment of protein malnutrition or liver dysfunction than transferrin or albumin. Superior performance :: Wide measuring range up to 1.5 g/L :: High antigen excess security...
