Compressors D&D® offers medical air compressors in configurations such as Simplex, Duplex, Triplex, Quadruplex, or Multiplex, with power ranging from 1.5 to 15 kW (2 to 20 HP). These compressors are available in both reciprocating and scroll types, designed to operate oil-free with Teflon seals and are cooled by forced air. They are powered by electric motors with a voltage range of 220-440 V, 3 phases, 60 Hz, and feature a starting pressure of 6.0 kg/cm² (85.3 psi) and a stopping pressure of 7.5 kg/cm² (105 psi).
Components and Features
The compressors include a heat exchanger with copper pipes and aluminum fins for efficient heat dissipation, a high-pressure hose set with Teflon reinforcement, and a TEFC electric motor with NEMA PREMIUM efficiency. Air receivers are available in vertical or horizontal configurations with capacities ranging from 80 to 240 gallons, stamped with ASME for a working pressure of 14 kg/cm². They include safety features such as calibrated security valves, manometers, solenoid valves for automatic drainage, and sectioning valves compliant with NFPA 99-2015 and European Pharmacopoeia.
Filtration System
The equipment features a dual-bank filtration system with general filters for particles up to 1 micron, coalescent filters for oil removal up to 0.1 microns, and vapor absorption filters for particles up to 0.01 microns. Each filter includes a differential pressure indicator and automatic drainer.
Dryers
Refrigerative and regenerative dryers are available, designed to maintain specific dew points and handle maximum demand. Refrigerative dryers use R134 refrigerant and include features like automatic drains and dew point indicators. Regenerative dryers use desiccants like activated alumina and silica gel, with vessels for drying and regeneration.
Control Panel
The electrical control panel includes a digital screen for managing compressor operations, carbon monoxide monitoring, automatic drainage, and temperature alarms. It features UL 508A listing, thermomagnetic switches, and audiovisual alarms for system pressure and overloads.
Compliance and Warranty
All compressors are manufactured under ISO 9001:2015, NFPA 99-2015, and European Pharmacopoeia standards. The equipment comes with a one-year warranty against manufacturing defects and includes operation and maintenance manuals.
