VACUSERA SEDIMENTATION SYSTEMS

Product catalog summary
Overview of VACUSERA Sedimentation Systems
The VACUSERA Sedimentation Systems include various components designed for the Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR) testing. These components are suitable for different genders and ages, providing accurate results with a higher coefficient compared to the Westergren method.
Components and Features
  • VACUSERA ESR Tubes: Available in both open and closed systems, these tubes are made of glass or PET plastic, containing 3.2% sodium citrate. They are sterile, single-use, and have a predefined vacuum for exact draw volumes.
  • VACUSERA 30 ESR Analyzer: Capable of scanning up to 30 samples simultaneously with a throughput of up to 60 samples per hour. It features temperature compensation, an ESR curve display, a touch-screen LCD, a thermal printer, and supports multiple languages.
  • VACUSERA ESR Racks: Designed to hold ESR tubes and pipettes upright, these racks facilitate the measurement of blood sedimentation. They are available with or without graduation scales.
Procedures for Specimen Collection and Processing
  1. Invert ESR tubes 5-10 times immediately after blood collection to mix the additive and blood properly.
  2. For closed systems, insert the ESR tube into the rack and align the blood level to the 0 position. Read the result after 30 minutes for a 1-hour sedimentation result.
  3. For open systems, open the cap, insert the ESR pipette, and allow the blood to rise to the 0 level. Place the tube and pipette in the rack and read values at 30, 60, and 120 minutes.
Technical Specifications
  • Reference numbers and draw volumes are specified for different tube types, with varying pack sizes and cap colors.
  • The system supports LIS/HIS connections and can be adapted with a barcode scanner.
