Gently invert ESR tubes 5-10 times immediately after blood collection to reach a proper mix of additive and blood. 2. Repeat the inversion process before placing the ESR tube into the ESR rack. 3. Insert ESR tube into rack. 4. Align the blood level to 0 position on the ESR rack. 5. After 30 minutes read the result for 1 hour Sedimantation result. • VACUSERA ESR Rack is designed to match VACUSERA ESR Tubes and Pipettes for testing the Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR) • ESR Rack allows ESR tubes and pipettes to stand upright position; and helps to measure the deposition of blood. Specimen Collection and Processing 1. Gently invert ESR tubes 5-10 times immediately after blood collection to reach a proper mix of additive and blood. 3. Insert the ESR pipette from the tube and blood will automatically rise till the "0" level. 4. Place the ESR tube and pipette into the rack in the vertical position. 5.
