Product Description

BIGUANID FLÄCHE NR is a concentrated disinfectant and cleaning agent designed for non-invasive medical devices, medical inventory, and washable non-porous surfaces. It is based on quaternary ammonium compounds, free from aldehydes, and offers excellent material compatibility, short contact times, and a pleasant odor. It complies with the Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR) and EU Medical Devices Regulation, making it suitable for hygiene-critical environments including food industry and canteen kitchens.

Applications and Usage Instructions

  • Surface disinfection: Apply freshly prepared diluted solution to thoroughly wet surfaces and mechanically spread (scrub-wipe). Surfaces can be used immediately after drying, considering exposure time.
  • Food contact surfaces must be rinsed with suitable quality water after exposure.
  • Medical devices contacting skin require rinsing under running water for 15 seconds post-exposure.
  • Always dilute concentrate with water (max 40 °C) before use.
  • Initial use should be preceded by basic cleaning with a suitable product like HANSA CLEAN SPEZIAL.

Composition

Contains 16 g of Alkyl(C12-16)dimethylbenzylammonium chloride per 100 g. Also includes non-ionic surfactants <5%, amphoteric surfactants <5%, disinfectants, and limonene perfume. Complies with Detergens Regulation (EC) No 648/2004.

Material Compatibility

Not recommended for use on copper, brass, polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polycarbonate (PC), and acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS). Use on synthetic leather only under specific conditions.

Safety and Precautions

  • Causes skin irritation and serious eye damage.
  • Very toxic to aquatic life with long-lasting effects.
  • Use personal protective equipment: gloves, protective clothing, eye and face protection.
  • In case of ingestion, rinse mouth but do not induce vomiting.
  • If on skin, remove contaminated clothing and rinse thoroughly.
  • If in eyes, rinse cautiously for several minutes and remove contact lenses if easy.
  • Seek medical advice if exposed or concerned.
  • Avoid environmental release and dispose of contents/container via approved channels.
  • For professional use only by trained personnel following national regulations.
