Suitable for use in ultrasonic baths. Application For non-fixing disinfectant cleaning in the immersion bath method and for disinfection in the immersion bath method. Suitable for use in ultrasonic baths. Disinfectant cleaning using the immersion bath method: If necessary, after rough cleaning, place the instruments into the DESCO BOHRERBAD working solution when opened and clean them mechanically. All surfaces and cavities must be fully wetted by the working solution. After the end of the contact time, thoroughly rinse the instruments with demineralized water. Disinfectant cleaning using the ultrasonic bath method: The DESCO BOHRERBAD can be used to enhance cleaning performance in all stainless steel ultrasonic baths. The DESCO BOHRERBAD working solution used for cleaning must be degassed before first use. Avoid temperatures of above 40 °C in the working solution as this can lead to incrustation. After the end of the contact time, rinse the medical devices thoroughly with demineralized water. Disinfection in the immersion bath method: After cleaning, place the medical devices into a second instrument bath filled with fresh DESCO BOHRERBAD working solution for disinfection*. All surfaces and cavities must be fully wetted by the working solution. After the end of the contact time, thoroughly rinse the instruments with demineralized water and dry them. Critical instruments must then be sterilized using a validated method. According to the EU Medical Device Regulation, users/patients are obligated to report any serious incident that has occurred in relation to the device to the manufacturer and the competent authority of the EU Member State in which the user/patient is established. Application notes Change the DESCO BOHRERBAD working solution if there is any visible contamination but at least once every working day. DESCO BOHRERBAD must not be mixed with other process chemicals. *For final disinfection of medical devices with a risk class of semi-critical A or higher, process using a virucidal disinfectant, e.g. PERFEKTAN ACTIVE or DESCOTON EXTRA. When handling DESCO BOHRERBAD, wear suitable personal protective equipment (PPE). Before switching to DESCO BOHRERBAD, clean all instruments and baths thoroughly to remove chemical residues. Instrument baths must be cleaned and disinfected at least once every working day, preferably with a disposable wipe soaked in alcohol, e.g. DESCOSEPT PUR WIPES RTU. Composition 100 g contain: 2.0 g potassium hydroxide. Material compatibility The use is not recommended for the following materials: copper, brass, aluminium, polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA), acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS), polycarbonate (PC). For application on the following materials we recommend only under certain conditions: polyoxymethylene (POM) Flammable liquid and vapour. May be corrosive to metals. Causes severe skin burns and eye damage. May damage fertility. May damage the unborn child. Obtain special instructions before use. Do not handle until all safety precautions have been read and understood. Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources. No smoking. Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection. IF SWALLOWED: Rinse mouth. Do NOT induce vomiting. IF ON SKIN (or hair): Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with water or shower. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Immediately call a POISON CENTER/doctor. Absorb spillage to prevent material damage. Store locked up. Dispose of contents/container to approved disposal company or local collection.
