The formaldehyde-free product formulation is characterised by economical working concentrations, broad effectiveness including virucidal and tuberculocidal effects and good material compatibility. DESCOTON EXTRA is ideal for virucidal final disinfection of flexible and rigid endoscopes as well as medical instruments. Range of application Disinfection of endoscopes as well as surgical instruments. Application Disinfection using the immersion bath procedure: Clean and rinse instruments thoroughly and place them (open) into the DESCOTON EXTRA working solution. All surfaces and cavities requiring disinfection must be completely wetted by the working solution. Rinse thoroughly (preferably with demineralised water) after the end of the contact time and dry. Then sterilise critical instruments using a validated procedure. According to the EU Medical Device Regulation, users/patients are obligated to report any serious incident that has occurred in relation to the device to the manufacturer and the competent authority of the EU Member State in which the user/patient is established. Should any soiling become visible in the working solution, change it immediately; otherwise, change it at least every working day. Before switching to DESCOTON EXTRA, clean all instruments and baths thoroughly to remove chemical residues.
