Efficacy and Test Methods
DESCOTON EXTRA has been tested for various conditions and pathogens, including bactericidal, yeasticidal, tuberculocidal, mycobactericidal, and virucidal effects under both clean and dirty conditions. Specific concentrations and contact times are provided for each type of disinfection.
Application Notes
After use, instruments should be rinsed with sterile water and dried. The working solution should be changed if visibly soiled or at least daily. Before switching to DESCOTON EXTRA, all instruments and baths should be cleaned to remove chemical residues.
Composition
The product contains 12 g of glutaraldehyde per 100 g and includes 5-15% anionic surfactants and perfume.
Material Compatibility
DESCOTON EXTRA is not recommended for use with brass or copper and should be used with caution on certain plastics like PMMA, PSU, PC, and PET.
