General Features The D114L is a multi-purpose board series is an interface between railway vehicle equipment and the Multifunction Vehicle Bus (MVB) via process data communication. The D114L is cost optimized to applications with equal or less than 16 process data ports. With duagon's MVB interface you get better communication stability resulting in less communication errors. This is achieved by an improved MVB communication controller together with better common mode noise suppression. duagon's MVB communication controller has two independent decoders for full redundancy support. The D114L is provided with MD16 "UART Emulation": • 16 process data communication ports with max. 32 bytes each • The 16 ports are freely allocable within the MVB address space (no linking with the device address) The D114L is easily programmable with duagon's MD16 driver kit. The D114L is designed for harsh rolling stock environments and is fully compliant with EN 50155. - Easy hardware integration (8 registers with 8-bit access). - Easily programmable with duagon's MD16 driver kit. - The MVB Driver provides an easy way to implement the communication between the customer's application and the MVB. - ANSI C source files allows an easy porting to any host/operating system combination. - The "UART Emulation" interface allows MVB communication without the need for a real-time operating system. - The D114L complies with EN 50155, EN 50121, EN 61373 and IEC 61375, and is designed for the harsh traction environment. - Different hardware options available to fulfil all needs. - MVB interface for almost any PC/104 compatible host - Implementation of MVB communication without the need system. for a real-time operation system on the host system. Life Cycle Cost Total cost of ownership was an important aspect when creating more, to avoid service expenses, the interface card has strictly the installation, maintenance and service concept. Further- been designed without the usage of electrolytic capacitors.
