The D217 is a versatile MVB interface with embedded processing capabilities, encapsulating all MVB functions on a single PMC module. It features duagon's MVB controller on FPGA, supporting up to 4096 process data ports and complying with the TCN standard IEC 61375 up to class 4. Available features include Process Data, optional Message Data, Bus Administrator, and physical media support for ESD+ and EMD.
Two TCN software stacks are available: MVB-PD (MDFULL) for passive interfaces and MVB-SERVER or MVB-PD/MD for active interfaces with Message Data Real Time Protocol stack. Configurations can include an integrated MVB Bus Administrator. A host driver packet provides a unified API for protocol access, based on a client-server model.
