Overview The TMX thermometer series is for measurement of ambient temperature, but also to measure in cooling and frezzing areas designed. The following types are available: TMX 310: It has an internal temperature sensor and an external temperature probe which is in a bottle with glycol. TMX 320: It has an internal temperature sensor and an external temperature probe. TMX 410: It has two external temperature probes, each in a bottle of glycol. TMX 420: It has two external temperature probes.

Safety Instructions Tightness: The thermometer TMX 310 and TMX 410 are delivered with glass bottles of glycol solution. Please check the bottles of possible existing cracks. ATTENTION HAND SAFETY, CUT RISK! Please mind eventual leak of the glycol solution. Please wear nitrile rubber gloves in case of a leaky bottle.

Unpacking Please take all parts out of the box. Carefully handle the sensor cables so that you do not damage them. Check the glass bottles for possible damage and for leaking glycol during and after unpacking. Delivery contents The package includes the following parts: • Thermometer • Battery (Type AAA) • Wall bracket • Velcro® tape • User Manual

Implementing 1. Unpack all the delivered parts. 2. Check if the delivery is complete. 4. Choose the temperature unit between °C and °F. 5. Control the limit settings in the thermometer. 6. Activate the alarm function. 7. Put the thermometer on its final destination. 8. Place the probes on the right location. Make sure that the cable needs to be pinched in the door seal. Standard usage The Refrigerator Thermometer is for use in ambient conditions. It is designed to control the temperature in cooling and freezing areas in laboratories and drug stores.

Display The Thermometer shows current and Max/Min value at the same time. Buttons Alarm-Confirmation Button The Alarm-Confirmation button is placed on the front side of the device. Following buttons are located on the rear side of the device: Channel Switch Alarm button Button to choose the temperature unit

Handling Alarm Function The thermometer has an optical and acoustical alarm. This function can be activated or even deactivated by pushing the alarm button. Additionally to the standard alarm function, the acoustic alarm can be confirmed by pushing the Alarm Confirmation button while an acoustic alarm is active. The optical alarm stays until the measured value is back between the limits. Switch Alarm function on / off Push the Alarm button for 1 second to turn the alarm function on or off. Set Limits Push the alarm button for 3 seconds to start limit settings. Follow the procedure.

Alarm Confirmation Push the Alarm Confirmation button while the acoustic alarm is active to quit the alarm. Clear Max/Min Memory Push the Alarm Confirmation button for at least 3 seconds to clear the Max/Min memory. Choose temperature unit Push the temperature unit button to swich between °C and °F. Insert battery 2. Open the battery compartment by unlocking and moving the battery cover. 3. Now unpack the battery and place it in the battery holder. Pay attention to the polarity of the battery. 4. Close the battery compartment.

What to do, if... No Display Check if the battery was inserted correctly. Please replace the battery. Display shows „Lo. “ The measured value is outside of the measurement range. Display shows „Hi.“ The measured value is outside of the measurement range. Display shows “err” Probe or cable is broken. No Alarm Signal Alarm function wasn’t activated. Calibration Each thermometer should be maintained and calibrated from time to time. We don’t offer any calibration service for thermometers from the series TMX. We recommend to buy a new TMX thermometer instead of calibration. The TMX is delivered with a Certificate of Calibration which is 2 years valid from the first calibration during the production. Warranty We grant a 2 year warranty on the function of the device.

Cleaning and Maintenance Use a damp cloth to clean the TMX thermometer. Do not use a solvent, such as acetone, because this damages the plastic. Disposal If the device becomes no longer fit for purpose, it must be disposed of in a suitable, environmentally-friendly manner.
