Product catalog summary
Calibration Overview
The manufacturer recommends performing the calibration process every 12 months to ensure the accuracy of displayed values. Calibration can be done at any time, especially after connecting a different probe to the scanner.

Calibration Methods
  • ECS Method: Requires the Echo-Son Calibration Set model ECS 02. This involves preparing the calibration set, inserting the ultrasound probe, and following a series of steps to ensure valid measurements. Successful calibration is indicated by the message "ECHOSON - ECS CALIBRATION OK." Results can be printed or saved to USB.
  • SELF-TEST Method: Does not require additional equipment. This method electronically simulates a spherical object to check all electronic systems and software algorithms. Successful self-test is indicated by the message "ELECTRONIC SELF TEST OK." Results can also be printed or saved to USB.

Procedure for ECS Method
  1. Prepare the ECS 02 set by washing and filling the container with distilled or boiled water, then wait 30 minutes.
  2. Insert the ultrasound probe into the designated hole.
  3. Navigate through the menu to start the calibration process.
  4. Adjust the probe position for valid measurement and press the SCAN button.
  5. Upon successful calibration, print or save the results.

Procedure for SELF-TEST Method
  1. Turn on the PINIT and navigate through the menu to start the self-test.
  2. Wait for the test to complete and verify the message on the screen.
  3. Print or save the self-test results.

Additional Notes
The self-test procedure includes a probe test that takes approximately 30 seconds to complete.

PINIT - CALIBRATION-1

PINIT - CALIBRATION * The manufacturer recommends to perform calibration process within 12 months. Calibration can be performed any time as you need to be sure that displayed values are correct. Also, it is recommended to carry out the self-test procedure, when a other probe (e.g. after servicing) to the scanner is connected. The PINIT offers two methods of calibration : 1. ECS method - the Echo-Son Calibration Set model ECS 02 is needed. (delivered by Echo-Son). 2. SELF-TEST method - any additional equipment is needed. This method electronically simulates the spherical object and checks all electronic systems and software algorithms 1. Calibration: ECS method 1. Prepare the Echo-son Calibration Set model ECS 02 Wash the container under tap water. Fill the container by distilled or boiled water at room temperature Wait about 30 minutes ( venting the water ). After calibration remove water from the container, then dry the container 2. Put the ultrasound probe into the hole like on the Photo1. Pay attention to indicators compliance. 3.
