Edwards Protection Cannulae Antegrade Cardioplegia Cannulae A VARIETY OF DELIVERY OPTIONS Edwards antegrade cardioplegia cannulae are designed to administer antegrade cardioplegia through the aortic root. They are available in standard, vented and pressure monitoring configurations designed to meet a variety of surgical needs. Edwards antegrade cardioplegia cannulae incorporate a number of unique safety features designed for added patient protection, including: • Smaller gauge insertion needle and center-vented needle • Atraumatic, soft tip cannula • Models available with left heart venting and/or pressure monitoring lines Back-bleed slide-plug is designed to control priming and minimize blood loss Center vented needle is designed to vent air while minimizing blood loss
