Thermodilution Catheter and IntroFlex Sheath with No Latex Components - 1

Introducing the Swan-Ganz ControlCath Thermodilution Catheter and IntroFlex Sheath with No Latex Components. Now, physicians have all the components needed to insert a Swan-Ganz catheter without latex components offered together in the same package. • Catheter and introducer sheath are packaged together for maximum convenience. • ControlCath Thermodilution Catheters are made from a proprietary polymer blend and offer improved torque control and maneuverability over the standard Swan-Ganz Thermodilution Catheter. • ControlCath Catheters offers improved column strength for easy passage through the introducer sheath. • The Swan-Ganz Synthetic ControlCath Thermodilution Catheter “C-Tip” allows for both femoral or SVC approaches. • ControlCath Catheters will not lose their torque properties at body temperature as found with thermodilution catheters made from polyvinyl chloride (PVC), resulting in excellent handling characteristics and consistent waveform fidelity throughout the procedure. • The entire family of Swan-Ganz thermodilution catheters provides physicians with diagnostic tools for the rapid determination of hemodynamic pressures and cardiac output when used with a compatible cardiac output computer. No latex components or PVC. The Swan-Ganz Synthetic ControlCath Thermodilution Catheters do not contain any natural latex rubber or natural dry rubber components, including the balloon, which is made from a proprietary synthetic elastomer.

Thermodilution Catheter and IntroFlex Sheath with No Latex Components - 2

The Swan-Ganz ControlCath Thermodilution Catheter provides excellent handling and consistent waveform fidelity. ControlCath Thermodilution Catheters are indicated for the assessment of a patient's hemodynamic condition through direct intracardiac and pulmonary artery pressure monitoring, cardiac output determination, and for infusing solutions. The distal (pulmonary artery) port also allows sampling of mixed venous blood for the assessment of oxygen transport balance and the calculation of derived parameters such as oxygen consumption, oxygen utilization coefficient, and intrapulmonary...
