The Thermo Scientific APEX 100 Metal Detector is a cost-effective and reliable means of conforming to the HACCP guidelines which drive food processing safety. To comply, the APEX 100 Metal Detector must be installed into the production line and managed as the "Critical Control Point.” • Excellent sensitivity to all metals due to proprietary multicoil design • Application flexibility with dual frequency and gain operation • Fully tested to meet IP69k/NEMA/ATEX requirements • Remove product effects with traditional phasing or unique Intellitrack XR (IXR) • Set up products with simple autolearn function • Multilevel password protection to ensure correct operation in production • Fe, non-Fe, and 316 stainless steel test cards, user guides, and software simulator CD included To deliver greater accuracy in detecting contaminants in wet and salty products, the APEX 100 features the innovative Intellitrack XR (IXR) technology. This technology learns and cancels the sinusoidal X (reactive) and R (resistive) product signals, and only detects the metal contaminants. To maintain high accuracy over time, the IXR tracks product changes and adjusts the product signals to eliminate the risk of contaminants going undetected. Installation and setup is quick and easy and no special training is required. The detectors come with everything you need including electrical fittings as well as clear wiring and mechanical mounting instructions. An easy-to-use icon-driven interface features a step-by-step quick reference guide, multilingual help text, and autocalibration. Optimize your performance by matching the metal detector exactly to your conveyor width and product height with numerous aperture configurations available. Easily customize your metal detector with additional optional accessories such as MODBUS communications modules, field compression flanges, remote control mounting kit, alarm/fault warning lights and horn, and photo eyes for product inspection trigger.
