Product Overview:
The ASO-BAR kit is designed for the titration of anti-streptolysin O antibodies (ASLO), providing a simple, convenient, and fast method for clinicians to obtain results. It is not available in the US.

Methodology:

Serum Dilution: Dilute the serum sample with 100 µL of serum and 400 µL of ASO-BAR DIL.
Distribution: Dispense 50 µL of the serum dilution into each well, except the negative control (C-).
Red Blood Cell Reduction: Mix 600 µL of R2 into R1.
Incubation: Incubate for 20 minutes at 37°C.
Results: Observe for hemolysis to determine the titer, with controls for accuracy.

Product Components:

ASO-BAR DIL: 5 ml vial of diluent.
R1: Vial of lyophilized reducer to be reconstituted with 600 μl of R2.
ASO-BAR Tray: Divisible tray of 2 x 10 wells, containing dehydrated streptolysin O.
Control Serum: 1 vial of 2.2mL positive control, standard at 600 u/mL.
COMPLEMENT ASO-BAR: R2: 5 mL vial of 2% sheep erythrocytes.
