RAPID DETECTION OF POLYMYXINS RESISTANCE The fastest and simplest solutions are not all that bad to face growing threats! Fast results in a couple of hours from any enterobacterial species Reliable approach, regardless of the molecular mechanism of resistance Easy to perform, highly specific and sensitive Excellent correlation with the reference broth microdilution method
Open the catalog to page 1PRINCIPLE The Rapid Polymyxin NP test has been designed for the detection of Enterobacteriaceae susceptibility and resistance to polymyxins (polymyxin E or Colistin, and polymyxin B) from colonies grown on agar plates. This liquid method relies on the colorimetric detection of rapid glucose metabolization associated with bacterial growth in the presence of a defined concentration of colistin. Acidification of the culture medium, consecutive to glucose metabolization, is evidenced by a color change (orange to yellow) of a pH indicator. METHODOLOGY An easy and visual protocol sticked on each test:...
