Product catalog summary
Overview: The Ellab Temperature Indicator (ETI) is a digital temperature indicator designed for retort monitoring and other applications. It complies with FDA 21 CFR, Part 113 regulations, making it suitable for thermal processing of low-acid canned foods. The ETI is a modern alternative to mercury-in-glass thermometers.
Specifications: The ETI consists of a Main Unit and a sensor with dual Pt-1000 circuits. It offers three configurations: ETI Indicator, ETI Recorder, and ETI Recorder Plus, each with varying capabilities for temperature and pressure monitoring, data logging, and remote display options.
FDA Compliance: The ETI ensures compliance through documented accuracy, electromagnetic interference protection, easy readability, and accuracy loss detection. It features a unique ID on the temperature probe for traceability.
Key Features: The ETI includes automatic calibration warnings, interchangeable probes, an internal rechargeable battery, and software for data collection and report generation. It supports remote display and panel mounting, and offers Modbus communication for advanced operations.
Technical Specifications: The Main Unit is made of anodized aluminum, with a weight of 400g and dimensions of 100 x 65 x 36 mm. It operates within 0 to 70 °C and has a memory capacity of 60,000 samples. The temperature sensor is stainless steel, with a measuring range of -100 to +150 °C and an accuracy of 0.1 °C. The pressure sensor measures 0-4 bar ABS with an accuracy of 0.15% FS.
Calibration and Software: The ETI supports user and factory calibration, with software options like ValSuite and ETISuite for data management and report generation. The software facilitates detailed calibrations and offers various reporting options.
Advantages: The ETI is FDA compliant, eliminates mercury contamination risks, and provides accurate digital readings. It features a rugged design, adjustable fittings, dual probe sensors, and interchangeable sensors to minimize downtime. It includes a rechargeable backup battery and automatic alarm outputs.

Temperature Sensor The temperature sensor can be connected and disconnected while the Main Unit remains fully powered and functional. When a sensor is connected, the ETI will briefly display the sensor serial number and status before measuring the temperature. The sensor can be connected to the Main Unit directly or by using an extension cable up to 20 meters long. Each sensor features an EEPROM, which contains calibration constants and other essential information, like sensor ID, production date, calibration date and recalibration due date. In order to ensure that sensors are correctly mounted...

Options Remote Display A Remote Display can be connected to the ETI’s RS485 interface. The Remote Display is connected to the Main Unit by using a cable up to 1,200 meters long. The Remote Display is powered by the Main Unit or vice versa. If the Remote Display is to remain functional during potential power failures, a backup battery must be installed in both units. Panel Mounting Ellab offers a solution that enables mounting the ETI Main Unit in a panel or on a DIN rail. ETI Modbus More advanced ETI operation enables connection to a PLC by using Modbus communication. The temperature, pressure...
