EndoLine Light Sources Optimal illumination is a critical requirement in endoscopy, both for diagnostic and surgical purposes. ®EndoLine light sources are equipped with a high-power LED module, which enables efficient use of the device for all the endoscopic application, providing a full coverage from lower light demanding ENT examinations to high light demanding laparoscopic surgeries. The dual version contains two separate LED modules which can be used simultaneously. This model can be operated as two full-power light sources - even with different light intensity settings by connecting two light guide cables simultaneously. At the same time, the dual device can also be considered as an equipment with an integrated back-up device, which ensures safe operation for health professionals during the whole surgical procedure. An outstanding feature of the two EndoLine light sources is the automatic light guide cable detection. For both the single and dual versions, the device detects whether the light guide cable is connected in its socket and switches the LED module on or off accordingly. This innovative development extends the active life of the LED module and provides a reassuring solution if the control unit is switched on but no fibre optic cable is connected (no more blinding).
