Step 1: Insert a cartridge by sliding it against the bottom of the cartridge jaw until the cartridge alignment tab is located above the alignment slot. Do not push past this point. Step 2: Press the cartridge down into the jaw. The cartridge alignment tab must snap into the alignment slot with an audible click. Step 3: Remove the staple retaining cap from the cartridge by lifting it up and pulling it out. Keep the retaining cap to monitor how many times the device is fired.
