Product catalog summary
Overview
The ES 1000A Insulation Monitor is designed for use in hospital facilities to ensure electrical safety in IT systems. It monitors insulation, load current, and transformer temperature in medical locations, providing real-time data and alarm notifications.

General Information
The monitor detects various alarm conditions including ground wire connection failure, insulation leaks, transformer temperature issues, overcurrent, and network communication failures.

Technical Data
  • Insulation Measurement: Detects AC/DC insulation failures with adjustable response values between 50K-500K. It has a relative error percentage of ≤5% and a response time of ≤5 seconds.
  • Communication: Features RS485 output for communication with multi-repeaters and a general alarm relay output.
  • Current Monitoring: Adjustable response value from 1-50A with a relative error percentage of ≤3%.
  • Temperature Monitoring: Monitors temperatures from 1-150ºC with a relative error percentage of ≤5%.
  • Power Supply: Operates on AC 84...264V~ with a nominal frequency of 47-63 Hz and consumption of ≤5W.

Accessories and Compatible Equipment
  • Temperature sensor PT 340
  • Alarm repeater TDS 149-2
  • Multi repeater MRP 249-2A
  • Line insulation failure locator ES 448
  • Current injector ES 449

Regulations
The ES 1000A complies with several standards including EN 61557-8: 2015, EN 61557-1: 2007, EN 61557-9: 2015, EN 61558-2-15:2012, EN 61326-1: 2013, EN 61326-2-4: 2013, and IEC 60364-7-710: 2002.

Communication Features
The device supports communication with up to 32 monitors via an RS485 port and is compatible with BMS systems using the Modbus RTU protocol.

ELECTRIC SAFETY SOLUTIONS Insulation monitor Insulation monitor in IT systems GENERAL INFORMATION The main purpose of the ES 1000A Insulation Monitor is to provide clinical and/or maintenance personnel with an insulation monitoring system in AC electrical installations with equipment with connected DC components, for medical locations with an IT system. The Insulation Monitor also oversees the load current, and the temperature of the transformer for medical use, of a distribution board for IT system in medical locations. It has a real-time clock through which the date and time of the equipment is set, allowing to store in the alarm memory, the date and time at which a particular alarm has occurred.
