DETAILED OPERATIVE TECHNIQUE The goal of the surgical approach is to establish adequate visualization in order to evaluate stability and leg length and restore kinematic function of the joint. Broaching Broach up progressively, beginning with the smallest size. Insert the Broach into the femoral canal with the desired amount of anteversion.
