Fairmont Medical's Lapview is a passive and on demand smoke evacuation filter system which provides a safe, cost effective smoke removal solution. For decades Fairmont Medical has been at the forefront of providing a safe and efficient method of removing diathermy smoke during minimal invasive surgery. Smoke created during the burning of tissue with diathermy instruments, contains chemicals which are known irritants and in the case of PAH's, benzene and formaldehyde, known carcinogens. Lapview's filtration system contains activate carbons which reduces these odour causing chemicals held within diathermy smoke. Our laparascopic smoke filter sets are designed to provide a clear, smoke free field of view during often confined laparoscopic procedures. Utilising our unique filter and roller clamp system, ensures stability and control of desired pneumoperitoneal pressures during smoke evacuation.
