Product catalog summary
Overview: The document provides detailed information about the multisonic LS series of ultrasonic nebulizers, designed for effective drug delivery through inhalation. It highlights the technology, specifications, and applications of different models within the series.
Specifications: The multisonic LS nebulizers are characterized by their ability to produce very fine aerosol droplets, with a droplet size of 60% between 1 and 5 µm and a MMAD of 3.5 µm. The frequency of operation is 2.4 MHz. The nebulizer performance varies with and without the Control‘Dose system, affecting the fill volume and nebulization rate.
Models and Features:
  • LS 230: Basic unit designed for inspiration-controlled use, suitable for cooperative patients. It is efficient in drug usage, releasing medication only upon inspiration.
  • LS 260: Features the Flovision® system for optimal drug deposition, especially suitable for children. It uses light signals to control inspiration volume.
  • LS 290: Designed for infants, small children, and patients with low inspiration volume. It delivers medication uniformly into a mask, ideal for those with weak inspiration.
  • LS 240: An electronic aerosol generator that uses soundwaves to deposit medical particles in the sinus, requiring no active participation from the patient.
Clinical Efficacy: Clinical studies indicate that the multisonic nebulizers achieve a deposition rate of approximately 75% of the inhaled active ingredient in the respiratory tract, enhancing the success of therapy by ensuring drug delivery to the target site.
Applications: The nebulizers are suitable for a wide range of medical conditions affecting the ear, nose, throat, bronchial, and alveolar regions, such as sinusitis, rhinitis, bronchitis, asthma, and mucoviscidosis. They are compatible with various active ingredients, including tobramycin, pentamidine, gentamycin, and others.
Additional Features: The devices are designed for silent operation, ensuring high patient compliance. They are adaptable for individual power settings and are sparing in drug use, with a residual volume of less than 0.8 ml.

Optimal deposition: the deciding factor Advanced technology: optimal effect multisonic LS Convincing technology: the ideal answer Inhaling with ultrasonics The success of therapy is dependent on delivery of the drug to the target site. The aerosol generated by multisonic nebulizers comprises very fine droplets which can pass through the alveoli. Clinical studies have shown that inhalation with multisonic nebulizers achieves a deposition of approx. 75% of the inhaled active ingredient in the respiratory tract. The loss of active ingredient is correspondingly low. Drug Ultrasonicwaves Coupling medium water Oscillator The ultrasonic waves from the oscillator continuously generate a very fine aerosol of the inhalation solution. This then penetrates the lungs down to the alveoli.
