Gear Pump MG400 series

Gear Pump MG400 series

Product catalog summary
Overview: The MG400 series magnet drive gear pumps are designed for heavy-duty applications, focusing on reliability in challenging environments. The use of a magnet drive with ceramic internal components enhances durability, allowing safe handling of various liquids.
Specifications: The pump housing is constructed from AISI 316L stainless steel, with gears available in Peek™, Ceramic Peek™, or PTFE™. These pumps operate quietly and without pulsation, suitable for high-temperature fluids with low expansion coefficients. The magnetic drive system features an inner magnet connected to the driving gear and an outer magnet linked to the motor shaft, ensuring motion through pole-to-pole alignment. Decoupling occurs if the load exceeds the maximum coupling torque.
Technical Information: The pump's housing is stainless steel, with ports in 1/8” GAS or NPT. The MG409 model weighs 410 g (0.9 lb) and has a speed limit of 5000 rpm. It can handle a maximum static pressure of 20 bar/290 psi. The temperature range for Peek™ and Ceramic Peek™ is -45 to 120 °C (-49 to 248 °F), while PTFE™ ranges from -45 to 50 °C (-49 to 122 °F). The maximum vacuum is 724 mmHg/28.5 inHg, with a wet lift capability of approximately 8m/26.7 ft.
Applications: Suitable for medical and surgical equipment, hemodialysis apparatus, laser apparatus, lubrication, ink-jet printing systems, cooling systems, laboratory instrumentation, water treatment, sampling, food processing equipment, and sanitization.
Additional Features: Optional features include a built-in relief valve and rare earth-driven magnets.
Performance Data: Includes detailed performance graphs showing flow rates and pressure capabilities across different models and conditions, demonstrating the MG400 series pumps' versatility and adaptability.
Specifications: Details on driven magnet types (ferrite or rare earths), pump series, gear width in mm, housing material options (AISI 316L, SAF 2205, AISI 303), connection types (1/8” NPT or GAS), relief valve options, gear material, and static seal material (PTFE™ or ceramic filled PEEK).
Procedures: No specific procedures are detailed.
Standards and Norms: Use of materials like PTFE™ and ceramic filled PEEK, standard in high-performance pump manufacturing.
Recommendations: Fluid-o-Tech may alter specifications without notice, recommending verification before purchase or use.
Key Data from Tables/Charts: Contains numerical sequences and flow rate/pressure data, representing performance metrics for different pump models, though specific interpretations are not provided.
Contact Information: Includes contact details for Fluid-o-Tech offices in the USA, Italy, Japan, and China, with phone numbers, fax numbers, and email addresses.

Gear Pump MG400 series-1

Magnet drive gear pumps MG400 series • Medical and surgical equipment • Hemodialysis apparatus • Laser apparatus • Lubrication • Ink-Jet printing systems • Cooling systems • Laboratory instrumentation • Water treatment • Sampling • Food processing equipment • Sanitization The MG400 series magnet drive gear pumps are designed for heavy duty applications where reliability in harsh environments is key. The combination of the magnet drive with the use of ceramic for the internal components makes of the MG400 series an exceptionally robust pump capable of handling a wide range of liquids with a high degree of safety. The housing is in AISI 316L stainless steel and the gears are available in Peek™, Ceramic Peek™ or PTFE™. In operation the MG series pumps are noiseless, pulsation-free and able to handle relatively high temperature fluids with low coefficient of expansion. The principle of the magnetic drive compries an inner magnet embodied in the pump and connected to the driving gear, and an outer magnet connected to the motor shaft. The pole-to-pole alignment of the two magnets provides the driving motion to the pump. Decoupling will occur when the pump load exceeds the maximum coupling torque provided by the alignment of the two magnets. Available upon request: • Built-in relief valve • Rare earths driven magnet TECHNICAL INFORMATION * Priming ability varies with operating conditions and fluid characteristics
