Product catalog summary
Overview: This document is a material data sheet for Formlabs' photopolymer resins used in high-resolution rapid prototyping with Form 2 3D printers. It provides detailed specifications, material properties, and solvent compatibility information.
Material Specifications:
  • High-resolution resins designed for capturing fine features in models.
  • Resins provide strength and precision, suitable for rapid prototyping and product development.
  • Parts printed have a smooth surface finish, resembling final products.
  • Available in Clear (FLGPCL04), White (FLGPWH04), Grey (FLGPGR04), Black (FLGPBL04), and Color (FLGPCB01).
Material Properties:
  • Tensile Properties: Ultimate tensile strength is 38 MPa (green) and 65 MPa (post-cured). Tensile modulus is 1.6 GPa (green) and 2.8 GPa (post-cured). Elongation at failure is 12% (green) and 6.2% (post-cured).
  • Flexural Properties: Flexural modulus is 1.25 GPa (green) and 2.2 GPa (post-cured).
  • Impact Properties: Notched IZOD impact strength is 16 J/m (green) and 25 J/m (post-cured).
  • Temperature Properties: Heat deflection temperature at 264 psi is 42.7°C (green) and 58.4°C (post-cured); at 66 psi is 49.7°C (green) and 73.1°C (post-cured).
Solvent Compatibility:
  • Minimal weight gain (<1%) in most solvents including acetic acid, isopropyl alcohol, and mineral oils.
  • Acetone causes sample cracking; strong acids cause distortion.
  • Diethyl glycol monomethyl ether shows a 1.7% weight gain.
Notes:
  • Material properties can vary based on part geometry, print orientation, settings, and temperature.
  • Data obtained from green parts and post-cured parts using specific settings and conditions.
