MWLSERVICE by G-Squared is a service that allows interfacing management systems with diagnostic machines. MWLSERVICE allows a modality to get patient details and the exam worklist, avoiding the need to manually enter this information (with the consequent errors caused by typing). Such data are made available to diagnostics via the DICOM Modality Worklist generated by MWLSERVICE with data from the management system. Once the exam has been carried out, thanks to MPPS service, MWLSERVICE can send an examination report including data on acquired images, start time, end time, and duration of a study, administered dose, etc., thus providing the radiology department with more precise information on the resources in use (acquisition station) and allowing the management system to let the radiologist know when an examination is available for reporting.
