The 2-Way Manifold with a water trap is attached to the expiratory end of the dual limb breathing circuit to regulate the expiratory valve. The water trap is used to collect condensation in the circuit to prevent it from damaging the ventilator or flowing backing to the patient. The 3-Way Manifold is attached to the single limb breathing circuit to regulate the expiratory valve. The control line from the ventilator controls the opening of the valve to enable air to flow in and out accordingly. This line intermittently provides the pressure needed to close the expiratory valve during inspiration, which blocks gas outflow during the application of inspiratory positive pressure. Exhale Inhale Nebulizer drive line Patient The Intermittent Positive Pressure Breathing (IPPB) manifold is used to help treat atelectasis and improve airway functions with a nebulizer that delivers aerosolized medication. The IPPB manifold features a 22M port to connect ventilated gas to the patient and a 18M port for nebulizer attachment. The nebulizer drive line connects to the nebulizer via a 6M port, which controls the pressure setting to deliver optimal medication and particle size. The Neb-T Valve employs a T-shaped valve for use in support of a nebulizer within a breathing circuit. With the use of the Neb-T valve, patients are able to receive aerosol therapy without interrupting ventilation. The Neb-T Valve can be used with or without a nebulizer.; the valve automatically closes itself when a nebulizer is not used and provides only ventilated gas.
