Description The UltrospecTM 10 Cell Density Meter measures the density of cells in suspension at 600 nm. Small, portable, and easy to use, the instrument can measure growth rates of all types of cells, including E.coli and yeast. Rechargeable batteries provide nearly one month of cord-free use. The Ultrospec 10 uses a 600 nm LED source in combination with an advanced fiber optic to obtain optical density measurements. Measurements can be sent via a serial lead to a printer or can be downloaded to an appropriate program on a personal computer for analysis. Designed exclusively for cell density measurement: Employing a dedicated device for measuring and monitoring cell growth reduces the risk of cross contamination and frees up valuable spectrophotometer time. Battery-operated and portable: The Ultrospec 10 is not tethered to power outlets or leads and can be carried to samples, leaving experiments undisturbed and enabling scientists to collect data more efficiently.
