The IREX™ (Immersive Rehabilitation and Exercise) System places the patient’s live video image into virtual reality worlds while tracking isolated joint movement, combined joint movements, and full-body functional movement of both the upper and lower body. As the IREX™ measures, it records and reports the kinematic data of various activities. THE IREX The IREX™ utilizes patented immersive video gesture control technology to submerge patients in a virtual sport or game environment, where they are guided through clinician-prescribed therapeutic exercise programs. Patient performance and compliance is measured and recorded in real-time by the system’s sophisticated camera tracking technology. IREX™ Systems can be tailored to the specific clinical needs of the patient by isolating certain body parts and/or movement. UPPER, LOWER & FULL BODY TRACKING The IREX™ System is unique: it is not hindered by the use of wires or other peripheral devices, which gives the patient total freedom of movement. The exercise programs consist of sports games such as soccer, volleyball, snowboarding, and other adventure-oriented exercises. The basic IREX™ System consists of: a state-of-the-art computer, tracking camera, and 32" LCD/LED monitor which can be upgraded to a 42" or 50" LCD/LED. This monitor can sit on a table or countertop, or be mounted onto a wall. IREX™ Systems are also delivered on a hospital-grade cart, with an additional 22" monitor for the clinician to view.
