Data Sheet MOUTHPIECES, NOSE CLIPS, SAMPLING PORTS, COUPLERS, TUBING & ACCESSORIES Product Description & Intended Use Mouthpieces Series 9060 Mouthpieces are available in two different designs: • standard type with full mouth bite and outlet port connection • hybrid type with full mouth bite, outlet port connection and with integral saliva trap tube. Mouthpieces are molded of a durable flexible silicone rubber for bite resistance and port connection flexibility and sealing. There are three sizes of each of the two mouthpiece types that vary in sizes of the mouth bite section and port connection diameters. Large bite block design optimizes use in high flow applications reducing the resistance to flow through the subject’s mouth. Sizes are designed for adults and large pediatric subjects for attachment to valves used during pulmonary function testing, exercise testing, spirometry and respiratory research. Mouthpieces. Nose Clips Series 9014 & 9015 Nose Clips are available in two different designs: • Disposable • Reusable Nose Clips are designed for clamping on the subject’s outer nose to occlude and seal off the nose from breathing. The two types reflect the cost of materials used in the construction of the nose clips with one a disposable type and the other a reusable type. Sizes are designed for adults and large pediatric subjects for use during pulmonary function testing, exercise testing, spirometry and respiratory research. Sampling Ports and Couplers Series 1900 Sampling ports are available in two basic designs: • Hose Barb with Male thread • Female Luer with Male thread Coupler ports are available in two basic designs: • Hose Barb with Female Luer • Hose Barb with Male Luer Nose Clips. Sampling ports and couplers are molded in plastic materials and used for installation in valves or valve ports or in-line for sampling tubing connections for pressure or gas concentration measurements. Hose barbs are available in a variety of sizes for all the common tubing diameters. Male and Female Luer conical fittings meet the requirements of the standard 6% luer taper for medical equipment.
