And for which purposes? We process the data you send us in conjunction with your application in order to check your suitability for the position (or for any other open positions in our companies) and to expedite the application process. What is the legal basis? The legal basis for processing your personal data in this application process is primarily Section 26 of the German Data Protection Act (BDSG) in the version applicable from 2018-05-25. Accordingly, data processing is permitted if required in conjunction with the decision on establishing an employment relationship. If, after completing the application process, the data should be required for prosecution, data processing may be carried out on the basis of the requirements of Art. 6 GDPR, in particular to safeguard legitimate interests in accordance with Art. 6(1) f) GDPR. In this case, our interest then lies in asserting or defending against claims. How long will data be stored? Data from applicants is deleted after 6 months in the event of rejection. Should you have consented to further storage of your personal data, we’ll transfer your data to our applicant pool. The data here will be deleted after two years. If you have been accepted for a position following your application process, the data from the applicant data system will be transferred to our personnel information system. To which recipients is the data passed on to? Your application data is reviewed by the HR department upon receipt of your application. Suitable applications are then forwarded internally to the heads of department for the respective open position. The further procedure is then agreed. Within the company, only those persons have access to your data who need it in the regular course of our application procedure. Where is the data processed? Data processing is performed exclusively in data centers in the Federal Republic of Germany. Your rights as a “data subject” You have the right to information about your personal data that we process. In the case of a request for information not made in writing, we request your understanding that we may then require verification that you are the person you claim to be.
