Product catalog summary
Overview: The HeartSine samaritan PAD family includes several models of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) designed for use in cardiac emergencies. These models include the SAM 350P, SAM 360P, and SAM 450P, with some offering integrated Wi-Fi connectivity and CPR Rate Advisor features.
Specifications: All models provide high protection against dust and water (IP56), have a 4-year electrode and battery life, and feature a low energy escalating protocol (SCOPE™). They are compact, lightweight, and include a carry case. The SAM 360P and SAM 450P models offer fully automatic shock delivery, while the SAM 350P and SAM 450P provide semi-automatic shock delivery.
Features: The SAM 450P includes CPR Rate Advisor for real-time feedback on CPR rate. All models offer CPR coaching with a metronome, and the connected versions communicate with LIFELINKcentral™ AED Program Manager for remote management. Pediatric compatibility is available with the Pediatric-Pak™.
Indications for Use: These AEDs are intended for use on victims of cardiac arrest who are unconscious, not breathing, and without circulation. They are suitable for patients over 8 years old or over 55 lbs with the adult Pad-Pak™, and for children between 1 and 8 years or up to 55 lbs with the Pediatric-Pak™.
Contraindications and Warnings: Do not use on responsive or conscious patients. Ensure no contact with the patient during shock delivery. The SAM 360P delivers shocks automatically without user intervention. Avoid use near explosive gases or flammable anesthetics.
Precautions: Proper electrode pad placement is critical. Operate away from radio frequency devices and do not immerse in fluids. Unauthorized accessories may cause malfunction. Dispose of devices according to regulations.
Potential Adverse Effects: Possible adverse effects include failure to identify shockable arrhythmia, inappropriate energy delivery, myocardial damage, and skin burns. Interaction with pacemakers and allergic reactions to electrode materials are also possible.
Regulatory Information: U.S. Federal law restricts the sale of these devices to orders by a physician. The SAM 450P is not available for sale outside the U.S. or Japan.
