Product catalog summary
HEINE LAMBDA 100 Retinometer
The LAMBDA 100 Retinometer is a compact tool designed to assess potential visual acuity in patients with cataracts and other opacities. It is lightweight (100g) and portable, making it suitable for bedside use. The device uses XHL Xenon Halogen Technology to minimize patient discomfort from dazzle. The assessment involves three steps: turning on the instrument, scanning the pupil with a red light to find a 'window' for pattern recognition, and selecting finer grating patterns until the patient can no longer recognize the angle. The last recognizable angle indicates potential acuity. The retinometer is available in different models with acuity scales ranging from 20/300 to 20/25 and 0.06 to 0.8.
