Introduction
The LIH 8+8 is a high-resolution, low-noise scientific data acquisition system utilizing USB 2.0 and high-speed processing technologies. Expandability

Acquisition Mode
The system supports cophasic acquisition of signals, with two banks of four analog differential input channels each. These are multiplexed into 16-bit 200 kHz A/D converters, sampling simultaneously for a total throughput of 400 kHz. The system adjusts sampling rates based on experimental bandwidth requirements.

Software Control
The LIH 8+8 can be controlled using PATCHMASTER, POTMASTER, or CHARTMASTER software on Windows or Mac platforms, and TIDA software on Windows. An EPC DLL is available for integration with custom software.

Time delays of 5us per pair of AD-channels occur if there is acquisition from more than 2 AD-channels. This is illustrated in the schematic below as the slight separation between the sampling of the pair AD-0 and AD-1 and the sampling of the pair AD-2 and AD-3 and is shown in the insert.
