Experience gives us the edge: hercopur reverse osmosis units - 1

Experience gives us the edge: hercopur reverse osmosis units • Constructed to support continuous circulation with continuous-ow membrane modules and continuous-ow sampling valves at the beginning and end of the ring main loop • Disinfection unit monitored using computer technology • User-friendly microprocessor control with complete graphical display Dialysate is comprised of up to 99% of water, specically of puried water. To generate puried water from the mains water supply, a water softening unit rst exchanges the calcium and magnesium ions, known as hardness ions, for an equivalent amount of sodium ions. The downstream reverse osmosis unit removes all salts and other content from the water to create puried water known as permeate. hercopur reverse osmosis units are equipped with specialised, energy-efcient, low-pressure modules that support continuous circulation. And thanks to continuous circulation, the system does not contain any stagnant water, ensuring maximum hygienic safety. The sequential arrangement of several thin-lm spiral membrane modules with tangential ow prevents surface deposits, improves the quality of the puried water and extends the service life of the modules. • Sequential arrangement of thin-lm spiral membrane modules with tangential ow and vortex grids to prevent deposits on the membrane surface • Improves the quality of the puried water and extends the service life of the membranes • Additional periodic rinse programmes (water ush, permeate rinsing) to clean the membrane surface • Fully-automatic, fully-programmable rinsing of the system when dialysis is not being carried out • Three-way reduction of water consumption thanks to consumption-based control, recirculation of concentrate and the adjustment of concentrate for maximum utilisation • Robust, long-lasting stainless steel tubing • Redundant conguration for all devices used to measure the quality of puried water • Optional: remote monitoring and remote control of the system Permeate that has not been used is recycled via the reverse osmosis unit with its ne-pore, reduced-pressure membranes. Bacteria that may have entered via the sampling point are removed immediately. Our twin-pass reverse osmosis systems guarantee maximum safety and premium-quality puried water thanks to the use of two water treatment systems arranged in series. Outstanding operational reliability is also ensured as both systems can be run separately without interruptions during operation.
