Product catalog summary
Overview
The AIRPAL® Patient Transfer System by Hill-Rom is designed to facilitate safer and easier lateral transfers of patients by creating a nearly friction-free surface. This system allows patients to be moved on a cushion of air, reducing the physical effort required and minimizing disruption.

  • Supports a weight capacity of up to 1,200 lbs.
  • Reduces the number of staff required for patient transfers from four or eight to just two.
  • Minimizes patient discomfort and skin damage due to the absence of tugging or pulling.
  • Radiolucent and artifact-free pad allows patients to remain on it during radiology procedures, CT scans, radiation therapy, and even labor and delivery.

The patient literally rides on a cushion of air from one surface to the other. Safer and more efficient for staff With AIRPAL system, two staff members can safely perform a task that formerly took four or eight. The risk of back injuries is greatly reduced, along with lost workdays and workers compensation costs. The AIRPAL system transfers all patients, regardless of weight. Easier on the patient Because there’s no tugging or pulling, AIRPAL system assists with pain management and protects the patient’s skin.
