HOSPITAL AIDS RESQMAT The ResQMat enables designated personnel to rapidly and safely evacuate people with mobility problems in an emergency. The built in padding and extra pillow under the head means that the ResQmat is safe and comfortable for people when going down stairs. The patient can then be transferred on to the ResQmat, making sure the pillow is at the head end and feet should be within the V section of the red strap. Firmly wrap the side wings of the ResQmat over the patient and secure with the Velcro straps, starting at the foot end. Pull the red strap through the plastic buckle and fasten for a tight fit. Using the end pulling handles the individual can be moved to a safe area. When going down stairs it is important to pull the individual foot end first.
