The University of Copenhagen, established in 1479, is Denmark's oldest and largest university, with approximately 37,000 students and 7,000 employees. It comprises six faculties, including Humanities, which offers nearly 100 BA and MA programs to around 11,000 students.
The Faculty of Humanities required acoustically optimized environments for media editing, sound engineering, and TV/media production. IAC Acoustics was chosen to install 17 acoustics doorsets to meet these needs.
The installation included 14 single and 3 double doors, all rated STC-61/Rw59dB, ensuring high acoustic performance. The doors also complied with [EN1634-1] EI60 fire safety standards.
The high-performance doors provided students with professional-quality recording facilities, even in busy university areas, enhancing their educational experience.

The doors were of excellent quality and have enabled our students to record and practice music adjacent to busy hallways and other noisy areas.
