Introduction
Peregrine’s Pianos, located on Grays Inn Road, Camden, London, is a newly refurbished piano showroom and practice space. The facility offers first-class practice rooms and a selection of European instruments for sale and hire. The proprietor, Dawn Elizabeth Howells, aimed to create a quiet oasis for musicians in central London.

Acoustic Door Installation
The facility features three IAC STC47 / Rw47dB performance acoustic doors installed at the entrance of each rehearsal room. These doors are designed to isolate noise between rooms and passageways. They are 30-minute fire-rated, include DDA-approved vision panels, and are coated in white polyester powder to match the room decor.

Showroom Highlight
The showroom's highlight is a glazed acoustic front door with the Peregrine’s Pianos logo etched into the vision panel. Due to high external noise levels, an IAC STC54 / Rw53dB high-performance door was installed. The door frame was custom-designed to fit a 2850mm opening, allowing a standard 2100mm door leaf for access. Security features include a double Europrofile deadlock system and a magnetic shearlock with a 1500kg loading for enhanced security.

Dawn Elizabeth Howells expressed satisfaction with the acoustic doors, noting their smart appearance and exceptional performance. The front door, in particular, has been praised for its noise reduction capabilities.
