ASL 5000 Breathing Simulator-1

Create Any Breath Without the Patient Imagine being able to simulate almost any breathing profile – including a newborn or a patient whose respiratory parameters gradually change over time. With the ASL 5000, you can craft real life respiratory scenarios from neonatal to adult patients. The ASL 5000 Breathing Simulator is a highfidelity respiratory “flight simulator” that enables you to train for the highest level of patient care, with any ICU ventilator. A unique feature of the ASL 5000 is its ability to breathe spontaneously while being ventilated. This allows you to meet the full spectrum of breathing simulation challenges, including coughs, apnea, active exhalation, playback of actual patient recordings – even snoring! Changes in patient parameters can be made using a convenient script file, or interactively “on the fly” – offering a whole new level of clinical realism with incremental adjustment of each breath. This highly accurate, versatile instrument represents the premier choice for teaching, research, and product development. INGMAR MEDICAL Respiratory Simulation Specialists Use the ASL 5000 alone or integrate with IngMar Medical’s RespiPatient® or other human patient simulators.

ASL 5000 Breathing Simulator-2

Education Ventilator management is paramount to intensive care. Often, students do not gain adequate experience with ventilator cases in their clinical training, especially high risk/low frequency situations. Hands-on experience adjusting the ventilator to changing patient parameters in real time is invaluable to understanding effective ventilator therapy. ASL 5000 — High Fidelity Breathing Simulation The RespiSim®-PVI option for the ASL 5000 enables effective management of multi-stage simulations with its Instructor Dashboard, powerful debriefing tools, and plug-and-play curriculum modules....
