Viewing stations To provide you with quick image-access to the stored images and radiological data for different departments of the hospital, PI-PACS system has specialized viewing stations. At these stations you are able to reach all possible image enhancement functions except for the reporting tool. INTEGRATED RIS/PACS SYSTEM HIS and other PACS connection Your examination-orders are coming to the PI-PACS through the HIS via standard HL7 protocol from all the different departments of the hospital. The same interface is used to synchronize the patient data and track information between the HIS and the PI-PACS as well as share the reports and other results. PI-PACS has a RIS function also for cases when HIS connectivity is not possible. It is possible to connect the PI-PACS to other PACS via DICOM Query/Retrieve on demand. Printing The most effective way to make hard-copy print-outs of selected digital images is the DICOM dry-printer connected to the PIPACS. You can access this from any authorized workstation of the system to produce high-quality images even in segmented mode. Patient CD/DVD, E-mail It is a general expectation lately that you can give the results of a study to the patient on a portable media like CD or DVD. PI-PACS provides an easy-to-use tool to make one. As another emerging request you can share results with your colleagues using the powerful and customizable PI-PACS email service. Archiving To provide fast and full online accessibility new image servers can be easily - almost plug and play - installed to the existing system. Nevertheless tape drive or NAS backup is suggested for safety reasons. If there is no intention to enlarge the online capacity old images and related data can be archived to off-line digital storage devices for long-term storage, i.e. DVD or mobile HDD. Of course any archived information can be loaded back any time in case you need it. PI-PACS Built prepares images for reading and optimizes reporting tools for each study type in decision support system gives a second opinion for specific study types Convenient Images tools provide easy information sharing with clinical partners and patients can be reached quickly from far with web based application support offered from one partner We reserve the right to modify stated data.
