IMD Particle Filtering Half Mask DM9501 Description The IMD Particle Filtering Half Mask DM9501 provide effective respiratory protection for use in industries where workers will be exposed to dust particles and/or non-volatile liquid particles. • Tested and CE Approved to EN 149:2001+A1:2009 • Foldable, easy to store, three-dimensional custom-design accommodates facial movement for wearer comfort • Two layers high quality melt-blown filter fiber maintain at least 94% filtering efficiency and low respiratory resistance • Seamless fitting for all-round protection • Wider elastic nose strip reduces the tenderness pain on the nose • Comfortable ultra-sonic welding around the chin, no irritation to the skin and comfortable to wear • Wider knitted ear lanyard, comfortable and breathable to extended wear • Individual hygienic packaging helps protect the respirator from contamination before use Approvals This products meet the requirements of the Regulation: (EU) 2016/425 and are thus CE marked. Standards These products meet the requirements of recently amended European Standard EN 149:2001+A1:2009, filtering facepiece respirators for use against particles. They should be used to protect the wearer from solid and non-volatile liquid particles only. Products are classified by filtering efficiency and maximum total inward leakage performance (FFP1, FFP2 and FFP3), also by usability and clogging resistance. Performance tests in this standard include filter penetration; extended exposure (loading) test; flammability; breathing resistance and total inward leakage. Reusable products are also subjected to cleaning, storage and mandatory clogging resistance tests (clogging is optional for non-reusable products). A full copy of EN:149:2001+A1:2009 can be purchased from your national standards body. Designations: R=Reusable NR=Non reusable (single shift use only) D=Meets the clogging resistance requirements Applications The respirator is suitable for use in concentration of solid and non-volatile liquid particles up tp the following limits: These products do not contain components made from natural rubber latex. Maximum mass of products: • Unvalved (DM9501)=4.6g Fitting Instruction: 1. Place fingers along the mask and ear lanyard while keep the nose clip on top. Gently open the mask and nose clip to keep the mask in almost full open form. 2. Attach the retaining clip into one side of ear lanyard as shown in Fig. 1b. 3. Place the mask in position to completely cover the nose and mouth. 4. Pull the ear lanyard behind the head and fasten the other side ear lanyard into retaining clip as shown in Fig. 1e. 5. As shown in Fig. 2, users can choose the appropriate methods to adjust the tightness of the ear lanyard by attaching to different position on the clip. 6. Gently adjust the nose clip to keep it tightly against the face. 7. Cover the front of the mask with both hands to perform seal check as shown in Fig 1g. Please see Seal Check section for detailed instructions. Fig. 2 Retaining Clip Use Schematics Seal Check: 1. Cover the front of the mask with both hands (Fig. 1g) and exhale sharply. Be careful not to disturb the fit of the mask. 2. If air leaks around nose, re-adjust the nose strip to eliminate leakage. Repeat the above seal check. 3. If air leaks at the mask edges, work the straps back along the sides of the head to eliminate leakage. Repeat the above seal check. 4. Change the mask if a proper face seal cannot be achieved.
